Lousy Sweatpants
I bought these sweatpants in October from LLBean. Usually I like their clothes, but $50 for a pair of sweatpants that didn’t last four months is ridiculous. It’s not like I’m a mechanic working in these. I’ve been using them to sit in front of a computer all day. I hope I get a refund. Otherwise, I’ll have to find a new place for clothes.
Update: The company got back to me quickly saying I needed to fill out some paperwork and send it back to them for their Returns department to “take a look at it.” To me, that doesn’t sound like I’ll get a refund, but they might give me something like “LLBean Bucks” or some other non-real money thing. Since this will cost me my time to take it somewhere to ship and the cost of shipping, I’m really not interested in losing more money on this crappy product. Instead, I’ll just shop elsewhere.
2nd update: I changed my mind and decided to send them back since they provided a prepaid label. We’ll see if I hear anything from them.
Final Update: Got a message to call LLBean about my return when they told me that there was nothing wrong with the sweatpants. This was clearly my fault for washing them, I guess. So I asked that they remove my account from their systems so that I never receive another email or catalog from them. Donald from LLBean told me that he’d change my preferences and I stated that no, I want them to delete the account and he wasn’t sure they could do that. There’s a competent company.
